While “Mis Impulsos Sobre T,” “El Camino,” and “Más Fuerte de Lo Que Pensaba” were rising to the top of the most influential charts in Chile, Colombia, Puerto Rico, and Argentina, Aleks Syntek y la Gente Normal began a tour of Latin America. Bienvenido a la Vida came out in 1995, and Largo Secreto was released the following year, both of which were produced by Rodolfo Cruz and Michael Rojkind. Not only that, but Aleks Syntek y la Gente Normal contributed to the Spanish tribute album to the British band Queen. After releasing the Sexo Pudor y Lágrimas soundtrack in 1999, Syntek went solo.

In 1999, his score for Sexo, Pudor y Lágrimas won the “Ariel” Prize from the Mexican Academy of Cinematography for Best Original Composition for Movies.
He has also done some work for Disney Hispanic, including a version of Randy Newman’s Academy Award–winning “Best Original Composition for Motion” from Toy Story 3. Under the Putumayo record label, he sang “Ricas Frutas” for Sesame Street viewers around the world. In 2005, he co-wrote the song “Un héroe real” for the animated feature Robots, and he provides the Spanish narration for “Rodney Tin,” the film’s protagonist, and for “Vector” in Despicable Me, alongside Andrés Bustamante. The film Cantinflas, for which Syntek produced the main theme, was released internationally by Pantelion in September 2014.
